At age 21, Normand COUTURE, a freshly graduated designer, opened his first retail store in Montreal, Canada, offering furniture imports from world leading companies, Domicil, later became a public company with 7 stores. COUTURE travelled a lot as a buyer, and got strongly influenced by the international trends encountered, an invaluable asset for a product designer. After 18 years of that thrilling adventure, COUTURE founded a manufacturing company where he created the award winning Caméléon seating concept headind that company for 11 years.

In 2007, COUTURE International is successfully launched, with its two cutting edge upholstery collections, the new company will soon attract the best contemporary furniture stores. In 2010 Normand has the chance to see his son, Philippe, join the company, the same year they launch COUTURE Jardin introducing fresh designs to the outdoor furniture world.
In 2013 the first NORMAND COUTURE flagship store will open in Shanghai, more stores to follow.
